I’m sorry it’s been very quiet here. We had to stop work on the house for a while but I’ll go in to more detail later. I don’t want you to think that this house renovating is all well and good because the last 2 weeks has been tough. However, now that it’s all behind us, we can start work again and get all excited about the attic room! I’ve made a little mood board using images from Pinterest which took me a bloody long time to put together. I couldn’t find any of the images I was envisioning in my head. So here are some of the nicest images I found that reflected how I plan on decorating and furnishing our master bedroom. I would love a super king bed, with white cotton sheets, white curtains, a wooden set of drawers in one of the dormers, a huge comfy snuggly love seat in the other, which we can use as a reading corner or a mini snug where we can watch a film before bed. I think I prefer the latter… We are a little unsure of the layout of the en suite but I’d love to get a bath in there under the window and I’d also quite like to have a glass wall in to the bedroom, for a more luxury hotel feel. The steels that we had fitted will be cladded in Anyway, that’s all for now. I’m sure my ideas will all change again and budget may mean we can’t have some of the things but this is where we are right now. We are hopefully going to get a few odd jobs done there tomorrow and if it’s not too busy, we can get the gutters and things done on the roof before taking the scaffolding down. We’ve had a few quotes for windows and the turn around for them to be made it pretty quick, which is good because we need to get it water tight as soon as possible really. Enjoy your bank holiday weekend! Speak soon, L.
