What we’ve been up to lately…

A few images from my college days.

I don’t know where I’ve been these past couple of weeks and I cannot quite believe that it is March already! The days and weeks are merging in to one, I feel like every single day is wet, drizzly, cold and miserable at the moment, coronavirus is beginning to scare me a little and to top things off, Josh has been off work this week with what the hospital thinks is a partial dislocation. So, work on the house is pretty much on hold. Although, Isaac has been doing the electrics over the past couple of days to keep things moving and we have been bathroom shopping the past two weekends –  I guess it ain’t all that bad! We were pretty much set on the idea of having a wet room on the 1st floor but after comparing the difference between a wet room or a shower tray, we’ve decided to go for the shower tray. The tray will be flush with the tiles and is made from stone, so will blend in nicely with the textured tiles and neutral feel of the bathroom. I want to keep it super simple, clean, light and classic. We’ve chosen light coloured tiles, a plain glass screen and a huge back lit mirror. I’m still keen on the monkey accessories from Dunelm but we’ll see nearer the time…

Incase you missed a little glimpse at my new student ID card over on my Instagram stories the other week and the reason for sharing the images above, I started college at the end of February! Every single time I talk about being back at college I feel so incredibly happy and excited to be back learning and growing. I’m doing a part time illustration course which fits in perfectly working full time! It’s been 5 years since I left college, where I studied Art and Design for 3 years, so I wanted to go back and figure out my style again. I’m a completely different person to who I was back when I was in my late teens and I’m excited to learn new technique’s and experiment a little more. I’ll be sharing my progress when I’ve got back in to the swing of drawing and printing again and if you do have any ideas for what you’d love to see, let me know!

I have hated being so quiet on social media and more so my blog but I haven’t had anything to share with you. So, I’m going to leave it here and continue watching ‘Next in fashion’ on Netflix. It’s such a good series/competition about a group of designers creating and making fashion garments! Anyway, enjoy the rest of your week. Speak soon hopefully, L.
