Ah, fresh air! I cannot even begin to explain to you how amazing it feels to breathe in fresh air and witness the sunset from the fell behind our home. We are so lucky to live here anyway but even more so now with everything that’s going on. To walk outside, on to the hills and not see anyone is something I’ll forever be grateful for. Today I started working from home. It’s weird and even though I’m with my Gran, it’s a little lonely. I enjoy the banter in the office and talking about things I wouldn’t talk about with my Gran. To go from being so free, doing your shopping whenever you want, going out for a drink with your friends and family has now turned into quite a scary time. I can imagine for people who live alone that the next few weeks or month are going to be extremely daunting and I cannot imagine how it must feel. However, what I do think is that these things are sent to teach us something. I’m a big believer that the world is in need of a little more love. In fact not just a little more love but a lot more love. I hope when all this is over that we don’t go back to normal. That we continue to think of our elders all the time, not just now. That we are less greedy and think about what we are buying and where we are buying it from. That we spend more time with our families and we just STOP and slow down.  Someone said something really interesting to me the other day and it was that her, her husband and children all spent the weekend in the house together and watched a film, on the sofa for the first time in a long time. They talked, they weren’t distracted by anything else or anyone going out to do something else, it was just them and they were present. They were living in the moment. That’s what we need, we need more people and more families who spend time together and make time for one another. We are all so busy working, trying to be the best that we can be, trying to be better than the next person, trying to have what everyone else has.. I’m guilty, I know I am and I hope it does make us all think. Anyway.. I wasn’t expecting to come here and rant. I know it’s been a while… sorry about that. But yes, I’ll be working from home for the foreseeable future so if you feel like messaging me, please do. Stay safe everyone, look after yourself, your loved ones and your neighbours. Get plenty of sleep and eat good food. Drink tea and eat biscuits. Life is too short <3
