Alex, me and Josh. Man, I need a trim!
Dinner at The Lunesdale Arms in Tunstall.
Mum, Dad, Alex and Josh all went for the same prawn and chorizo starter. It was delicious. I had to wait a little longer for my minted lamb kofta with raika but it was very tasty. I was too hungry to get a snap of it but I’m going to try and replicate the little lamb koftas myself, this week. The main I went for was the pork fillet with chorizo jam and mash potato. Could eat it again, right now.
Mum and Dad <3
Hey lovelies. I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend! I’m feeling a little sorry for myself after way too much red wine, gin and sambuka last night… I felt absolutely fine when I woke up but now it’s hit me. Last night we went for tea at the Lunesdale Arms in Tunstall, to celebrate my Mum’s 59th birthday which is tomorrow. We had been meaning to go there for quite some time now and it didn’t disappoint. The food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back to try a Sunday roast sometime in the near future! After that we headed back home to our local and what was supposed to be one drink and then home to bed, ended up being several drinks, a couple of shots and home at 1:30am. It always works that way, doesn’t it? If you haven’t seen my Instagram stories of my atrocious dancing, I suggest you head there before they disappear. Or maybe don’t, as it’s a little embarrassing. Well, today has been a complete right off. Although, I did manage to make some leek and potato soup for the week and I’m going to TRY and make something for tea. I had hoped to make a chilli con carne but I really cannot be bothered with the mess and washing the pots afterwards! You feel me? Saying that, my fabulous friend Amy brought us a homemade apple and blackberry crumble, so maybe we’ll just have that. You probably noticed that Josh has a few scars on his face from the photos above. He had fallen from a roof on Wednesday, managed to knock himself out and badly injure his neck and back. Thankfully I think he’s okay, after being checked over in A&E and I’m just glad it wasn’t anything worse because falls like that can result in long term injuries or even worse. Anyway, I know I’ve been slacking on the home posts so I do apologise but I am barely there now that my Gran is away in France. So, when she’s back at the end of the week, I’ll have some regular home updates heading your way. I also have quite a personal post drafted up but I’m a little nervous to share it at the moment. Speak soon, L.
