Hi lovelies, how are you doing? I can’t believe it’s already 5:30pm on a Sunday. I took Friday off to do some house work and it hasn’t felt any longer than a usual 2 day weekend, which is annoying. What’s also annoying is that we didn’t get any time to spend at the house this weekend. Thankfully Josh managed to get quite a bit done last week and has skirting and architraves on in the spare room and dressing room. The plaster will hopefully be dry enough in the office/studio early this week to finish the emulsion, fit skirting and door architraves. I really want to get our panelling, coving etc. sorted for the spare room this week, so we can start painting. I had some colours mixed over the weekend, both are colours by Little Greene but I decided to get one colour mixed by our local paint shop and the other mixed by Valspar. I’ll let you know how we get on with them! But I won’t be sharing what colours we are using in the spare room until it’s finished.. reveal coming real soon! I’m also off again Friday so we can get our WiFi up and running, which will hopefully be all sorted in time for moving in very soon.

We finally, finally picked up Josh’s work van today after well over a month in the garage! Remember our Scotland road trip disaster? We didn’t think it could have gotten any worse… well, it did! Anyway, we’ve emptied it and pretty much put the rest of the camping gear away today, which is a good job done but I’d much rather have been at the house!

Now, I’m currently waiting for a roast beef dinner. Gran and I have just had a little sherry each, which is quite nice – I’ve never had it before! I’m going to pour myself a little glass of red and enjoy the rest of my evening before work in the morning. Speak soon, L.
