It’s been bugging me for some time now that I haven’t got in to the whole ‘vlogging’ game because I really want to get creative and edit some videos! Any who, instead of vlogging for the time being, I’m just going to share a post about what I got up to at the weekend or during the week etc every now and then in hope it gets me into the swing of photographing things regularly, which hopefully will lead on to vlogging and filming in the near future (fingers tightly crossed). I’m loving everyone’s vlogmas videos and I can’t imagine all the effort and time that must go in to creating such fab content, it really is a huge inspiration to us newbies and it has taken blogging to a whole new level. However, until I get super duper confident filming myself, I’m going to go old school and jot all my ideas, thoughts and pictures here on my blog.
Saturday 10th December
As Christmas is fast approaching, I knew that without actually going somewhere to find christmas presents it would result in me buying really crap presents and ordering online stuff that may be no good. I asked my friend Emma if she fancied spending the day at the Trafford Centre in Manchester for a day of shopping and obviously.. eating!
I was surprised how quiet the Trafford Centre seemed at 11:00am on a Saturday! I’d never seen it this quiet, ever. We did a little shopping for ourselves and visited Selfridges to pick up my favourite Nars products and then decided to grab a bite to eat at Five Guys – which by the way is my new found favourite fast food restaurant (that alliteration though)…
I managed to pick up all my christmas shopping, excluding my main present for Josh and a present for my dad.. anyone else find men just so hard to buy for? Suggestions for next christmas will be much appreciated cause I struggle so much! However, I did some ordering and everything is now wrapped and under my gorgeous tree that I put up on Thursday evening.
After a couple of hours and finding out that Zara didn’t have the dress in stock that I had driven all the way to Manchester for, we jumped in my car and made our way to the city centre in hopes that Zara had it in stock… WORST DECISION EVER. It was just so busy and it took me around an hour to get through the traffic and parked at the Arndale shopping centre. I can’t even begin to imagine how crazy the markets were, I’m so glad we got that over and done with back in November when it was fairly quiet!
Successful shopping trip? Definitely! And yes, I did manage to pick up the dress – the last one they had in stock, most definitely fate! After hours of driving I was ready for my bed and a cup of tea when I got home…
