Dent Fest and Marie’s birthday garden party

This weekend has been so full on but I still absolutely loved every minute, from dancing and singing to dream girls at Dent Festival with my good old friend Amy, to sitting around the fire last night at Josh’s auntie Lesley’s house, stuffing myself with food and drink (non alcoholic though, might I add). It was just super lovely to catch up with school friends and reminisce about our Settlebeck days and then to see Josh’s side of the family for his Grandma’s 82nd birthday. Little Olivia on the last photo is Josh’s cousin and I’ve promised her she’ll be my flower girl one day, haha! As always, Lesley and Steve put on the best spread, of savouries and sweets and plenty of alcohol. Their garden was decorated beautifully, with vases of flowers, candles, and a huge fire pit. It makes me want my own home and garden to host in, so we can enjoy BBQ’s and delicious food or just even sit and talk to friends/family without having to go out to the pub and spend a fortune. Ah, one day Llana, one day… Anyway I am so so tired! I’m going to have my tea and get an early night as we were late to bed last night and up early this morning. I really wanted to gym but I don’t think I can face it tonight, so I’ll be back early tomorrow for a run and cycle before work. We actually set off to Dorset on Friday for a long weekend on the South Coast. I’m so excited! It’s like another mini holiday which I didn’t think we would manage to do again this year but we are going to keep it as cheap as possible. Speak soon, L.
