22 Things 22 Has Taught Me

Evening lovelies! I know I’ve been a little quiet lately but it’s because I haven’t been up to much exciting so didn’t feel much need to post. I would like to start posting twice a week though, so if you have any ideas on what you’d like to see, leave me a comment! I thought I’d share these pics I took at the weekend of myself in my Rolling Stones tee that I picked up in December from Stradivarius. I teamed it with my leather look studded mini skirt from Zara and of course, a statement matte red lip by Loreal (it lasted all night long…at least I think I did from what I remember!). Anyway, I’ve just been having a little brain storm and thought I’d share with you some of the things I’ve learnt over the past few months. ‍

____________________________

The early bird catches the worm. I was never a morning person but I much prefer to get things done first thing and make the most of the day (wow, I never thought I’d hear myself say that!)

Be the person you’d ideally love to fall in love with.

Be kind, you don’t know what battles other people are facing.

Stand up for yourself and stick to your beliefs, if you feel as though something is wrong, say it.

Do what makes you happy, every single day and remember that YOU define your own happiness, not anybody else.

Eat well and exercise often, it makes you feel 100x better but don’t forget to treat yourself too.

Life is short, make plenty of time for the ones you love. In my late teens I would say I was very selfish and sharp tongued with the ones I love the most, I’ve definitely changed.

Do something today that will help towards your future.

Make conversation. I’ve found that talking helps you learn more about life and sometimes more about yourself.

Listen to your heart and don’t make any excuses not to. Don’t be afraid of what if or afraid of the unknown.

Quality over quantity when it comes to friendships, you’ll learn this the older you get.

Travel as much and as often as possible, it opens your eyes but more importantly opens up your heart. We are all human and we all deserve respect, love and kindness.

It’s not important what other people think of you. Let them talk.

Don’t hide your feelings, be open and be honest. Life is so much easier without bottling up our emotions.

You get what you put in to the world, good or bad, it’s called Karma.

Failure is a lesson. Learn from it and move on.

Be inspired by everything you see and everything you do.

We all go through the tough times, always remember to stay strong because every cloud has a silver lining.

Time alone is important, always make time for you.

Stop comparing, you’re where you need to be.

Forgive. Life is too short to hold grudges and contain negative energy.

And lastly, dance, laugh, cry and sing more. They’re all good for the soul.
