Well, you know me, I’m a fair weather walker.. so when I knew the forecast was expected to be as beautiful as it was this morning, I knew I had to get up early and get myself up the fell. I would have preferred to have been up there to watch the sunrise but I was a little too tired for that. Still, the sunlight from 7:30-9am was just stunning. All the colours at this time of year are all my favourite colours. Golds, yellows, frosty green, blue, ah these colours just make me feel so incredibly happy. I only crossed paths with two other people this morning and that’s why I love the Howgill’s because they are just so quiet, especially at this time of year. The ground is so soft, you could literally walk on it with bare feet and you can see for miles, even more so than the summer months because the air is so clean and crisp – just perfect!
Today was.. food shop day *wahoo*. Sense my sarcasm? So Gran and I braved the shops again, although it was fairly quiet which was nice. I also purchased some more paint. We weren’t happy with the eggshell finish in the guest room, crikey this room has been a nightmare, so I’ve gone with the Elle Decoration by Crowne paint again as I just love the finish with this stuff. I’m heading to the house shortly to start painting again but I’ll have to start in the dressing room as we have the radiators being fitted. I’ll share some stories to my Instagram home account @verynorthernhome. The colour I’ve chosen in the dressing room is not very me at all but a gorgeous soft, browny pink. I can’t wait to see it on the walls actually! Right, I’m going to dash. I actually planned to vlog the past 2 weeks and I just cannot get in to the swing of it anymore. I think it’s because I have a spotty chin and I hate watching videos back and seeing them, haha! I’ll try harder though, as I love watching our progress videos back. Speak soon, L.
