Hey lovelies, how has your week been? Honestly speaking, I’ve felt whacked all week. I’m actually looking forward to 1pm tomorrow when I finish my Saturday morning shift so I can relax for the weekend. On Wednesday myself, Craig and Lucy headed down to London to the Hitwise Summer Summit Event, which was hosted at the Ham Yard Hotel in Soho. It was a really cool building, with really tall ceilings, great art work on the walls and just a really nice venue to host such an interesting event. We had talks from ITV, Missguided and M&S to name but a few, all about where their industries were heading and how they used Hitwise as a platform to help them gain more customers and create relationships with their existing customers. It was super interesting and actually a little scary when you find out all the information that they can dig into and find out about who is viewing a specific site, what they are searching for, where they go on the web, etc. It was a really long day with lots of concentrating so I feel like I’ve been walking around like a zombie for most of the week but I’m so glad I got the opportunity to go and learn more about the marketing industry. Anyway, it’s almost half past 9 and we said we were going to have an early night and watch a film together but Josh is in the shower and I’m sat watching Love Island. I haven’t got into it as much this year so I’m not up to speed and I don’t know who any of the new people are. I might spend tomorrow evening catching up whilst Josh is camping with his mates and I might just treat myself to an Indian take away but we’ll see… last weekend we got a take away and my throat started to swell like I had had an allergic reaction. It was really strange and although it didn’t hurt I was actually a little worried but hey ho, I’m still here! Speak soon, L.
