I wasn’t going to post tonight because all I want to do is crawl into bed, curl up in a ball and cuddle my hot water bottle.. BUT Josh has a date with his PlayStation, with his friends. They are all playing the new Call of Duty and I can hear him laughing and shouting through the wall.. So, instead of watching tele, I thought I’d share with you my favourite photos from today! We set off quite early and headed to Buttermere, although we arrived a little later than planned due to a few road closures and then we soon discovered that we didn’t need to go the long way round! We decided to tackle Buttermere Edge again, which we first completed the same time last year. This time we took Mum and Dad along with us because it’s been a while! Alex was also meant to be joining us but could not be bothered to get out of bed…. Anyway, it was a lovely day. We did experience a slight shower at the beginning of the walk but that was okay as we were all sensible and packed our waterproofs. It was rather chilly but it’s only going to get colder over the next couple of weeks. I was half expecting to see some snow after watching a video from Helvellyn over the weekend but we probably weren’t high up enough for that. Hopefully next time we will get some lovely thick snow and a blue sky sort of day! Who knows when that will be though, November is usually an awful month and even worse, I am turning 25 in a couple of weeks! After a good 5 or 6 hours walking, we finally made it back down and headed to The Bridge Hotel for cheesy chips and a little glass of Baileys. I really wished we could have stayed the night and spent the evening in front of a fire, listening to it crackle and pop but I was designated driver and had to brave the hour and a half journey back home, in the dark! Right, I actually don’t think I can stay awake any longer so I’m going to say goodnight and try to kick Josh off of the PlayStation. Speak soon, L.
