One of my favourite walks

Guess what? It’s forecast to snow next week and my god am I buzzing! I’m so excited to get out on the hills in the snow but also just see the countryside looking all pretty and white and sparkly. I thought I’d hop on here and share the rest of the photos from our walk on Sunday. This is the 3rd time we have done Haystacks, I think but it was the first time for both my Mum and Brother. This time, we did it the opposite way to what we had done in the past. We walked up along Warnscale Beck, over Green Crag and on to Haystacks. I actually think I preferred this route, as opposed to going up Scarth Gap Pass and over that way. If you want to check it out though, you can see the route here. We ended up back at the Bridge Hotel pub in Buttermere, where we shared two bowls of cheesy chips and two plates of calamari squid, which was delicious! I also had a little Bailey’s, which I so enjoy after an afternoon on the hills. Anyway, I don’t have much to say and I’ve just realised it’s almost 7pm and I have netball in half an hour so I best go get my gear on. Speak soon, L.
