Ah, Sunday… the best day of the week. The days, weeks, months and years seem to just come and go way too fast though and I’m starting to feel a little nervous about turning 25 next month. I really don’t want the years to pass us by and we forget to have fun and do everything we want. So, I’ve already started noting down my goals for 2020. I did this last year too and I’d say I’ve been pretty successful in completing almost all of my goals, besides from wanting to be fluent in Thai! I will start again once the house is done, whenever that will be. Anyway, this weekend we visited Bluestone to choose our hearth and take a look at kitchen worktop options. We had gone with the intention of falling in love with a white worktop, either a corian or a quartz.. but when we saw the black granite worktops, our heads were turned. We took away a few samples away with us so maybe we’ll have changed our minds again by next week… stay tuned! Today was my first day back at the house for what feels like forever! Josh had cleaned out the fire place and built it back up to support the hearth which will go in soon, so we decided to leave our mark in the concrete. Maybe one day someone will find our names! Oh, he also put another lintel in to lower the fireplace as it was a little big for the log burner. It’s still huge but it looks much better and more in proportion with the room. I hope thing’s will start moving a little faster now, I’m itching to be in our home! I’m already planning our house warming and how we will accommodate all our friends and family, haha! Speak soon, L.
