Hi lovelies! I have no idea where the weekends and weeks are disappearing to, I just haven’t had time to come here and post so I am sorry that I’ve been a little quiet. We’ve been busy prepping the house for me working from here. We thought it was about time I gave my Gran her dining table back and let her have her own space again! I need a desk for the office and I’m reluctant to move the dining table up there because it will mark the carpet and then it will eventually be moved, so I’ve been sat working downstairs with the fire and radio on. It would be nice to get some curtains for downstairs because the window is so big, everyone passing by can see right in and it would just make it feel a little cosier too. I can’t find any fabric I like for down here though. I was thinking of something more plain as opposed to the fabric I chose for the spare bedroom. Maybe something that will match the sofa, like a very light grey check, what do you think? Or do you have any suggestions. The last photo of the living room will give you an idea of how the room currently looks. It is quite cosy, the walls are white/grey (more white than grey), the door has had a half arsed attempt at being painted black and we’ll eventually have coving and skirting to match the white/grey walls too. I think something light would look better than something dark, so it makes the room feel bigger but I’m reluctant to use a lot of grey because I’m not that much of a fan. Argh – sorry for the ramble, it’s just hard making decisions! As I’ve been writing this, I took a minute to have a browse online for a little inspo. I’ve ordered a couple of samples from Linen Fabrics, so I’ll let you know when those arrive and we can take a look at the options! Anyway, I’m ready for some tea so I will love you and leave you for another week and hopefully we’ll have some exciting news to share with you this time next week! Lots of love, L.
