Attic update & life right now

Hi lovelies, it's been a while since I posted. Did you miss me? I bet you haven't noticed have you! Haha, I'm trying to get back in to the swing of things but I'm finding it difficult to 'tell a story' through photos and every day-to-day life right now, so here are some photos I've taken over the past couple of weeks that make me happy and hopeful for a return to some sort of normality soon.

Last Friday I took the afternoon off work to make the most of the sunshine. Erik and I went for a nice long walk and it was just nice to be outside, breathing fresh air, thinking about what was next to do on our house.

We did a part of 'the Dales way', but didn't venture too far as it did look like it was going to rain.

The en suite began taking shape when we fitted the first large pane of glass. There's about a year between these two photos! It does feel much longer than that though.

Second pane of glass fitted and the chrome trim finished it off nicely. I would have much preferred brushed gold hardware but it was too hard to come by. I'm glad we didn't waste time and money going for the gold though, I'm really pleased with how this looks.

Treated ourselves to Duck Pancakes - they were on offer in Asda so I thought it would be a nice Saturday afternoon treat. Today I went for a walk with my parents and it was just the nicest day. A breath of fresh air!

My Mum finished making our curtains for the spare room, so we got those up! I'm so pleased with how they look. They are so stunning, even more so in real life! And how well do they go with our print of Wastwater?!

I was worried about working from the house with Erik and him not taking to the surroundings fast but he did and I'm so glad. He's been a total gem and is settling in to more of a routine. The whining is getting less and less and he's beginning to listen again a lot more. I think the beef and cheese treats help! Would it be useful if I showed you all the things we have for Erik? I.e. Food, treats, toys, accessories etc?

I hope you enjoyed this post. If there's anything you'd like to know, please ask! I'm struggling for ideas on what to post, now that life really is just so boring. Well, enjoy the rest of your weekend. Speak soon, L.
